How to Tie the Trilene Knot
Step 1
Pass the tag end of the line through the eye of the hook, lure, or swivel twice, leaving a loose loop behind the eye and 8–10 in (20–25 cm) of tag end free.
Step 2
Wrap the tag end around the standing line 5–6 times (thinner line can take more wraps, thicker line fewer — see Notable Features).
Step 3
Feed the tag end back through both loops formed in Step 1 — not back through the eye itself. Threading it back through the eye by mistake is the most common error anglers make with this knot.
Step 4
