Why Beeswax Canvas — Not Synthetic, Not PU Leather

Most foraging pouches on the market use PU-coated Oxford cloth marketed as "waxed canvas." Our Pack Pouch uses genuine 12oz canvas coated in real beeswax. The difference matters in the field: beeswax canvas develops a patina over years of use rather than cracking or peeling. When the finish eventually dulls, a pass with Bucksaw Butter re-waxes it in minutes. All hardware is rustproof metal or brass. The leather accents are veg-tanned and will darken naturally with UV exposure over time — that's character, not a defect.

Snaps or Rivets? Standard or Large?

Snaps — Best for quick on/off carry, canoe strapping, and MOLLE attachment. The snap closure lets you remove the pouch without unthreading your belt. If you're strapping to a canoe, order Large + Snaps.

Rivets — Best for belt carry and axe holster use. Rivets create a fixed belt loop — more secure than snaps, and no risk of accidental opening. Recommended if carrying an axe is your primary use.
