OUR UNIQUE LOW STRETCH BLEND! Polyester Sheath + Nylon Inner - a combo developed for a stiffer cord with low stretch, but not no stretch.

The inner cores remain Nylon, to provide a bit of shock absorption, and not be too stiff (so you can still easily tie knots with it).

PREMIUM QUALITY and EXTRA STRONG! Bear Essentials paracord is 750 lbs instead of the traditional 550 lbs - while being a similar weight and thickness as traditional Mil Spec Type iii Paracord! The outside is our Polyester blend with a higher tensile strength, and the inside has the exact same 7 strand and 3 core inner nylon mix as Mil-SPEC. The exact numbers are 0.085 Ounce/ Foot and 0.157” (4mm) thick.

DESIGNED FOR CAMPING AND BUSHCRAFT: Unlike nylon, the outer polyester sheath offers superior UV resistance, abrasion resistance, and water resistance. The Bear Essentials Paracord is made of polyester sheath which holds knots better and doesn't absorb water. While nylon is more effective for shock absorption (as in parachute use) and is slightly softer for tasks like tying bracelets, weaving necklaces, lanyards, and crochet, polyester excels in durability for outdoor activities.

Paracord

What can you say? It's paracord. I bought two.
I haven't had any opportunity to use them yet but they have their own compartment in the car ready for an emergency or car camping, whichever comes first. (I'm rooting for the car camping.) The cord seems like good quality, has a lovely rugged colour and combined with the pretty copper and solid feeling carbine will make even the most indoorsy, squeamish couch potato feel like the ultimate nature domineering, badass in the wild.
